Co-hosted with the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA). AIHA and Society for Total Worker Health™ members are at the forefront of applying the Total Worker Health (TWH) approach to advance worker health, safety, and well-being. This peer learning series will elevate evidence-based practices and highlight professionals who are actively applying the TWH approach within their organizations and workforce. The goal is to provide a forum for peer-to-peer learning. Each event focuses on a specific industry or topic related to TWH.
- Describe Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and its intersection with TWH
- Describe how one business has applied ESG investing using a TWH approach
This is not a passive learning experience. The format is built for all participants to engage in the discussion together after the brief presentations to learn from each other and guest speakers invited from industry and the TWH community.
This session qualifies for one continuing education hour credit for CIH, CSP, and SHRM. CHES requests are currently pending.

Moderator: Liz Hill, MPH
Liz Hill is the Total Worker Health® Advisor for SAIF Corporation. Liz has twenty five plus years of experience in professional health and safety and a short stint of global health work. Prior to working at SAIF, Liz worked in a variety of industries from oil and gas to higher education. Liz has BS in Industrial Hygiene and a Master’s of Public Health. She has designation as a Certified Industrial Hygienist and a Certified Safety Professional. She is communications liaison and past chair of the American Industrial Hygiene Association’s (AIHA) Total Worker Health Advisory Group, and also past chair of AIHA Safety Committee.
Subject Matter Expert: Charles Redinger, PhD, MPA, CIH
Dr. Redinger has worked for decades – through teaching, publishing, and standards-development – to increase OEHS professionals’ capacities, relevance, and impacts. He was a founding director of the Center for Safety and Health Sustainability, is an advisor to the Capitals Coalition, and is the Chair of AIHA’s Human Capital/ESG Task Force. He has served on the NIOSH Board of Scientific Counselors and AIHA’s Board of Directors. He holds a PhD in industrial health from the University of Michigan, an MPA in public policy from the University of Colorado, and a BA in chemistry from the University of California at Santa Cruz. He received a postdoctoral certificate in strategy and innovation from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and has done extensive training in cognitive and ontological development at both individual and organizational levels.
Industry Representative: Nancy Wilk, CIH
Nancy is an Environmental Health and Safety Fellow with WSP’s Mine Water and Environment Group located in Cambridge, Canada. Nancy has over 36 years’ experience in the comprehensive practice of industrial hygiene overseeing and performing occupational hygiene qualitative risk assessment for chemical, biological, physical, and psychosocial hazards. Nancy is a past Board Member and Past President for Occupational Hygiene Association of Ontario (OHAO), past Board Member and Treasurer of ACGIH, a current Director on the Board of the International Occupational Hygiene Association on behalf of ACGIH, and the 2023/24 Chair of the AIHA Total Worker Health® Advisory Group to the AIHA Board of Directors.
